You can register and pay, by PayPal the $120.00 Passport Fee online. Please see additional information on our website https://peterboroughminorpetes.ca/ under the Registration/Tryouts tab.
It is important that players/parents understand the Peterborough Petes Residency Compliance/ Right of Choice: this can be found on our website https://peterboroughminorpetes.ca/ under the Registration/Tryouts tab under Tryout Policy.
To participate in any Petes tryout a ‘resident player’ must reside “where she/he habitually resides with their parents”, and such residence must be within the boundaries of the Peterborough zone.
Also required is a Permission to Skate form to attend Peterborough Petes tryouts.
1. We will provide PTS for eligible Peterborough Zone players wishing to tryout for Junior clubs.
2. U13 Non-resident players (“imports”) are invited to participate in our tryouts providing they present a current waiver from their home AAA zone and they have registered and paid online through our Tryout Passport process
Please have your player bring their permission to skate form and present it on the first day of tryouts at the sign in desk. Your player will not be able to participate in the tryouts without one.
Tryouts will consist of the following sessions, U13 AAA as shown below. Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to each skate to allow sufficient time for sign in and dress:

During each tryout, players will be assessed by independent off-ice evaluators, each of whom has no direct connection to any of the players in this age group. Aspects such as skating, puck handling/passing/shooting, tenacity/aggressiveness, knowledge of the game, impact on the play, and "coach-ability" will be assessed. These assessments will be used as the basis for the determination of which players will be offered a position on the team.
Tryout Release Process
For the majority of releases, we are using an on-line tryout release. First releases will occur after the 2nd tryout. Your child has been given a number to ensure anonymity during online releases. These numbers will be posted after each tryout on the website indicating what is next for each player. Please check the AAA Pete’s website regularly after tryouts for updates on releases and lineups for exhibition games.
· Please note if your Pin Number is not on the website, you are NOT continuing in the tryout process.
· After the 2nd tryout, daily communication will be sent telling players their next steps. (Whether they are
released, or playing in a game or sitting out, etc.)
· If you would like feedback on your athlete, please feel free to contact Chad once the tryout process has been completed
